luggage limitations

Even though O’Hare-Midway has many stretch limousines in our fleet, the trunks of our vehicles remain the same size as those of a regular sedan. Therefore, we would like to clarify our policy concerning the way we carry your valuable luggage in our vehicles. First of all, we do not condone strapping down the trunk under any circumstances. The reasons are obvious — protection from the elements, loss, and theft.

If your luggage does not fit adequately in the trunk, with the lid fully closed, and it is necessary to bring additional pieces (other than small carry-on items) into the passenger compartment of the limousine, we insist that you order a private car.

We are sure that you do not want to be inconvenienced during your ride to the airport — and you also do not want to inconvenience other passengers riding with you who may have to step over your luggage. More importantly, large pieces of luggage in the passenger compartment create a significant safety hazard. To avoid last minute hassles, and, if you are in any doubt whether your luggage exceeds normal limits, please order a private car.

When you are packing for your trip, remember that some types of luggage have abnormal dimensions and limit our ability to properly pack the trunk to it’s fullest capacity. We always try to do everything possible we can to get you and your luggage to your destination safely and comfortably.

Lewis's Law of Travel:
“The first piece of luggage out of the chute doesn't belong to anyone, ever.”
